The Largest Navy Flag in Ukraine’s History

On July 6, a significant celebration of Ukraine’s Naval Forces Day took place in Odesa. During the festivities, cadets and students unfurled the largest flag in the history of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The flag measured 35 meters in length and 19.8 meters in width. The symbolism of the national flag once again highlighted the courage, resilience, and unwavering dedication of Ukrainian servicemen to their people.

“Our cadets and students unfurled the largest flag of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Its length is 35 meters, and its width is 19.8 meters. Our flag is a symbol of bravery, steadfastness, and loyalty to our people. Under this flag, many victories have already been achieved. I believe that the greatest ones are still ahead! Together to victory! Glory to the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine!” — wrote the commander.

Achievements of the Ukrainian Navy in Modern Warfare

The Ukrainian Navy, with a history spanning over a thousand years, continues to be one of the most crucial components of the country’s defense capability. As noted by Army Inform, military sailors are not only distinguished by their resilience but also effectively destroy the enemy at sea, forcing the adversary to retreat and hide near their own shores.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, in his official greeting, emphasized that the Navy warriors protect the country at sea, on land, and in the air. He specifically highlighted that, thanks to the efforts of the naval forces, the Russian landing never appeared in Odesa, the cruiser “Moskva” was destroyed, Snake Island was returned under Ukraine’s control, and 28 Russian ships and one submarine were eliminated or damaged. Furthermore, the “grain corridor” continues to operate and supports food security worldwide.
