“New MP Melnyk Serhiy has taken the oath – he joins ‘Servant of the People,'” Zheleznyak stated.
The Central Election Commission registered Serhiy Melnyk as a member of parliament in March, following his election in the early elections of 2019. He was in the 149th position on the party’s electoral list.
Change in the Composition of Deputies
It is worth noting that the Verkhovna Rada, at its meeting on February 25, prematurely terminated the powers of MP Iryna Korymshkina, who also represented the “Servant of the People” faction. The reason for this decision was her personal statement regarding the resignation of her parliamentary mandate.
Situation with Iryna Korymshkina
In October 2024, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAP) announced suspicions of illegal enrichment against Iryna Korymshkina, who previously bore the surname Allahverdiyeva.
