Large-scale roadworks are ongoing in Kyiv

Today, August 31, significant traffic restrictions are observed on two central transport arteries of the capital — Vaclav Havel Boulevard and Maxim Kryvonos Street. This is due to road surface repairs that will last from early morning until evening.
The repair works cover key sections
According to municipal services, vehicle traffic on Vaclav Havel Boulevard will be restricted from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM on the section from Volodymyr Kachala Street to Vidradnyi Avenue. During the same period, restrictions will also apply on Maxim Kryvonos Street, where road workers will be operating on the section from Valeriy Lobanovskyi Avenue to Preobrazhenska Street.
“On August 31, from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM, traffic will be restricted on Vaclav Havel Boulevard. From 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM — on Maxim Kryvonos Street,” the message states.
Changes in public transport routes
Due to the ongoing repair works, changes in public transport routes are expected. Thus, buses No. 14T will temporarily operate on an updated route to avoid areas with restricted traffic. The city authorities urge drivers to plan their routes in advance and, if possible, choose alternative detours.
Residents and visitors of Kyiv are advised to be cautious on the roads and to keep an eye on updates regarding changes in transport traffic. The temporary inconveniences are intended to ensure improvements in road infrastructure in the future.
