Last night, Russian forces carried out a massive airstrike on Kharkiv using kamikaze drones. One of the missiles hit a five-story residential building, causing severe destruction and a large fire.

“Today at around 05:00, Russian occupiers launched a massive strike on a residential area of Kharkiv using drones. As a result of the strikes on the residential five-story building, there were destructions and fires on the first, third, and fifth floors covering a total area of 900 square meters,” the report states.

According to rescuers, as of 8:00, four people have died, including one child. Another 17 individuals were injured, among them six children. The fire broke out on several floors of the residential building and spread over an area of about 900 square meters.

Rescue Operation and Search Efforts

During the emergency rescue operations, the State Emergency Service employees managed to pull a young woman and a man out alive from the rubble. At the same time, search teams are receiving information about the possible presence of other individuals under the debris. The operation to clear the rubble and search for survivors is ongoing, involving units of the State Emergency Service, pyrotechnic and canine teams, as well as psychologists to support the victims.

The situation remains tense, and rescuers are making every effort to assist the victims and mitigate the consequences of the terrorist shelling.
