In the Solomianskyi district of Kyiv, a nine-story residential building was partially destroyed due to a rocket strike by the Russian Federation. The body of a deceased individual was found under the rubble, and the identification of the victims is ongoing.

Details of the Rocket Strike and Consequences of the Destruction
It has been preliminarily established that the destruction was caused by a cruise missile that hit the building approximately at the level of the fourth floor. The explosion was so powerful that it completely destroyed the structure of the entrance. This was reported by Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko.
“The type of missile will be commented on by the investigation. But I can correct the previous information – it was a cruise missile. Information about the name and markings, I believe, we will be able to convey to our population later through specialists. One thing I can say is that this missile struck the building at approximately the level of the fourth floor, and the explosion was so strong that the entire structure of the entrance collapsed,” Klymenko stated.
On the night of June 17, Kyiv experienced one of the most massive rocket attacks since the beginning of the full-scale war. According to Ihor Klymenko, around 50 residential buildings were significantly damaged in the capital.
Rescue Operations and Number of Casualties
According to the State Emergency Service, rescuers have freed the body of the deceased from the rubble of the destroyed building. Currently, 14 fatalities and 105 injuries have been reported, and the identification of the bodies is ongoing.
More than 450 rescuers, over 100 units of emergency service equipment, and canine units are involved in the aftermath of the attack in Kyiv. The city has identified 27 locations where search and rescue and recovery operations are underway, involving police, rescuers, and municipal services.
