Neither Washington nor Witkoff himself has confirmed this information yet. It is known that on April 11, the U.S. special envoy visited Russia. During this visit, he held his third meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, which also included Yuri Ushakov.

“Witkoff described these negotiations as ‘convincing.’ According to him, they discussed steps that could put an end to Russia’s war in Ukraine. He stated that a peace agreement would include the resolution of the issue of five territories.”

Current Context and Future Negotiations

Witkoff’s new trip to Moscow is planned after negotiations in Paris on April 17, involving Ukraine, the U.S., France, the United Kingdom, and Germany regarding the conclusion of Russia’s war in Ukraine. A new meeting with representatives of these countries is also expected on Wednesday, which aims to continue the search for pathways to peace and conflict resolution.
