In Kyiv, seven individuals are set to stand trial, suspected of creating and operating an interregional drug cartel specializing in the distribution of cannabis. According to the investigation, the leader of the criminal group was a 29-year-old resident of Kryvyi Rih, who previously belonged to the organization “Dvadtsyatyski.” He was assisted by six residents of Kyiv aged between 24 and 29 years.
Drug Distribution Schemes
The drug dealers established a channel for the sale of cannabis both in Kyiv and in other regions of Ukraine. It is estimated that the monthly turnover from their illegal activities reached over five million hryvnias at “black market” prices.

Concealment and Delivery of the “Goods”
Law enforcement officials determined that the organizers sent bulk shipments of cannabis via postal services, concealing them inside hydro accumulators. After that, the accomplices packaged the drugs into individual “doses” for further retail sale in the capital. Sales were conducted hand-to-hand, as well as through postal services with prepayment across Ukraine.
“The drug dealers sent their ‘goods’ to customers by mail in bulk shipments, disguised inside hydro accumulators. Then their accomplices packaged the ‘goods’ into ‘doses’ and sold them in the capital, transferring them hand-to-hand, as well as sending orders via postal services with prepayment throughout the country.”
The accused face up to 12 years in prison under current Ukrainian legislation.
