The Ministry of Women in the Office of the President of the Republic of South Africa has urged citizens, particularly women, not to accept job offers in the Russian Federation that are being actively circulated on social media.

Ministry Statement and Investigation
In an official statement, the department emphasized that these job offers have no connection to any government programs or initiatives in South Africa. The department calls on the youth to be particularly cautious and not to trust dubious job advertisements abroad.
“The so-called jobs advertised on social media for employment in Russia are not part of any government initiative. We urge our youth to remain vigilant.”
It was previously reported that the South African government has launched an investigation into the activities of Russian companies hiring women from South Africa under BRICS cooperation programs. There is particular concern about the possibility that candidates may be deceitfully recruited to work at the “Shahed” drone assembly plant located in the special economic zone of “Alabuga” in Tatarstan. It is known that women from other African and Asian countries have previously been lured to this plant through misinformation about working conditions.
Plans for Further Action
The Ministry of Women in South Africa has announced its intention to collaborate with all interested parties to protect citizens. In particular, the department plans to engage with both the Russian embassy in South Africa and local organizations that recruit workers on behalf of “Alabuga.”
