US President’s Special Envoy Steve Witkoff will visit Moscow this week for a meeting with Russian Federation leader Vladimir Putin. The visit is scheduled for December 1, during which the terms of a possible peace agreement between Ukraine and the Russian Federation will be discussed.

Discussion of Negotiation Outcomes in the US
Before traveling to Moscow, Witkoff participated in negotiations between Ukrainian and American delegations that took place on December 30 at the Hallandale resort in Florida. Following the meeting, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who led the American side, noted its high effectiveness but emphasized that further work is needed to reach a final agreement.
“We have made significant progress in advancing a just peace and aligning our positions with the American side.”
Plans for Future Negotiations
Marco Rubio confirmed that Witkoff will represent the interests of the United States during negotiations with Putin in Moscow. The main goal of the visit is to agree on key parameters of a potential peace agreement between Ukraine and the Russian Federation.
In turn, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Rustem Umerov emphasized the importance of progress in achieving peace after the negotiations in Florida, highlighting that the parties have significantly moved closer to mutual understanding with their American partners.
