New Additions to the Exhibition
The museum’s collection has recently been enriched with unique items directly related to the ongoing modern Russian-Ukrainian war. Among the new exhibits are two Russian drones of the “Gerbera” type, as well as fragments of three “Geran-2” unmanned aerial vehicles, which are considered analogs of the Iranian Shahed 136. These previously dangerous combat drones were donated to the museum by servicemen from one of the air defense units.
“The museum’s exhibition has been supplemented with two Russian “Gerbera” drones and fragments of three UAVs “Geran-2″, which are analogous to the Iranian Shahed 136. Once dangerous combat drones were handed over to the museum by soldiers from one of the air defense units.”
Features and Accessibility of the Exhibits
Museum staff noted an interesting fact: the serial numbers of the “Gerbera” drones begin with the letters “ЫЫ”, which is atypical for such technology. Currently, all deactivated Russian drones can be seen during a tour in the training hangar of the Kyiv Aviation Institute located at 1 Lyubomyr Huzar Avenue. This is due to the fact that the main exhibition area of the museum near the “Kyiv” airport is temporarily not operational due to the war.
