The Ukrainian team of school students achieved remarkable success at the International Mathematical Olympiad held in Australia, bringing home awards of all kinds.

Success of Ukrainian students in the global ranking
This year’s Olympiad was one of the largest: students from over a hundred countries participated. Ukraine was represented by six students, each of whom returned home with a medal. This is a significant achievement for our country and a testament to the high level of preparation of Ukrainian students for international competitions.
As a result of the Olympiad, the Ukrainian team won one gold, two silvers, and three bronzes. Notably, students from the Rusanivskyi Lyceum in the Dnipro district of Kyiv earned four out of six awards, which has become a source of pride for the entire educational community of the country.
Winners’ names and their achievements
The gold medalist was Oles Hordiichuk, an 11th-grade student at the Ukrainian Physical and Mathematical Lyceum of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. Silver medals were awarded to Oleksandr Horbunov (9th grade, Rusanivskyi Lyceum) and Daniil Shvaiko (11th grade, Vinnytsia Physical and Mathematical Lyceum No. 17, Vinnytsia). Bronze medals were won by three students from Rusanivskyi Lyceum: Volodymyr Zabihailo, Myroslav Liubymy, and Stepan Semyrenskyi, all 11th graders.
