July 25, the first exhibition of artist Anna Kisilishina titled “47.82846°N 37.71093°E” was opened at the National Reserve “Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra”.
Paintings that Speak of Pain and Hope
The title of the exhibition refers to the geographical coordinates of Barrack No. 200 in Olenivka, where the artist’s son, Oleksiy Kisilishin, a fighter of the Azov Regiment, was killed in a terrorist attack. This personal tragedy became the impetus for creating a series of works in which the artist conveys her inner experience of loss through visual imagery, transforming pain into art.
“In her paintings, the artist transforms deep personal pain into a visual narrative.”
The Exhibition and Its Main Idea
The exhibition features 13 artworks that form a cohesive narrative—from the moment of loss to the birth of hope, from personal tragedy to the formation of collective memory. Each painting becomes a kind of dialogue with the viewer about love, resilience, and the strength of spirit even in the most challenging times.
The exhibition can be viewed until August 10 at the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra.
