FC Dynamo (Kyiv) has undergone a complete rotation of its coaching staff, including head coach Oleksandr Shovkovskyi. The news of the dismissal of the entire coaching staff was officially announced on the club’s website on the evening of November 27.
A new acting head coach has been appointed
The club’s statement emphasizes that the duties of the head coach will now be performed by Ihor Kostiuk, who previously led the Dynamo U19 team.
“The coaching staff of the team has been relieved of their duties. Ihor Kostiuk, the coach of Dynamo U19, has been appointed as the acting head coach,” the club’s brief statement reads.
The reasons for the dismissal are not disclosed
Currently, the reasons for this decision by the management have not been disclosed. It is only known that the day before, Dynamo suffered a defeat in the fourth round of the main stage of the Conference League, losing to Cypriot side Omonia 2-0. This may have been one of the factors for the change in the coaching staff, but no official comments on this matter have been received so far.
