The Coalition of the Resolute Will Provide Ukraine with Over 5000 Missiles to Strengthen Air Defense

«коаліція охочих» підтримує ППО України, Києву нададуть понад 5000 багатоцільових ракет

The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Keir Starmer, announced the agreement of a peace plan for Ukraine by the “Coalition of the Resolute,” which is to be implemented by the end of 2025. According to the head of government, the main elements of this strategy include increasing economic pressure on Russia, supporting Ukraine’s defense capabilities, and ensuring its financial stability.

Coalition Action Plan: Sanctions and Reparations

The primary goal of the new plan is to eliminate Russian oil and gas from international markets. The coalition members are calling on the global community to support sanctions and reduce dependence on Russian energy resources. The next step should be holding Russia accountable for the damage caused, specifically through the payment of reparations to Ukraine.

“We have developed a concrete plan together by the end of the year. First and foremost, we will do everything to remove Russian oil and gas from global markets. We encourage everyone to implement these sanctions and reduce dependence,” he said after the “Coalition of the Willing” meeting.

Strengthening Ukraine’s Air Defense

An important part of the new assistance will be the transfer of over 5000 multipurpose missiles to Ukraine to bolster its air defense. 140 missiles have already been delivered on an emergency basis, which will help prepare for potential winter attacks. The UK has also promised to increase its own missile supplies in the near future.

Keir Starmer emphasized that the “Coalition of the Willing” will continue to exert pressure on Putin both on the battlefield and in the economic sphere. This, according to the Prime Minister, is the only way to force the Kremlin to come to the negotiating table.

The “Coalition of the Willing” meeting took place against the backdrop of the failure of the EU summit in Brussels regarding the use of frozen Russian assets to finance Ukraine, particularly due to Belgium’s concerns about the legal and technical aspects of this initiative.

At the same time, despite the disputes, EU leaders, with the participation of Volodymyr Zelensky, confirmed their intention to meet Ukraine’s financial needs for the next two years, as stated by the President of the European Council, Antonio Costa.

Recently, Russia has intensified attacks on Ukraine’s energy and gas infrastructure, which is particularly critical during the heating season. As a result, most regions of Ukraine have implemented schedules for hourly power outages, which are in effect from 07:00 to 23:00.
