Ukraine and the American company Swift Beat have signed an agreement for the joint production of unmanned systems. The signing took place in Denmark with the participation of President Volodymyr Zelensky, Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umerov, and CEO of Swift Beat, LLC Eric Schmidt.
Key Areas of Cooperation and Production
According to the president, the cooperation involves the production of various types of drones, including interceptor drones, reconnaissance quadcopters for fire adjustment, and long-range strike drones. Special attention will be given to interceptor drones, which are a priority for protecting Ukrainian airspace from attacks by the Russian Federation. It is planned to supply hundreds of thousands of drones this year, with the prospect of further scaling up production in 2026.
“The visit to Denmark begins with an important step for our defense. There is an agreement on Ukrainian-American cooperation for the production of drones, particularly interceptor drones – this is an obvious priority. An agreement has been signed with the strong American company Swift Beat. We are talking about hundreds of thousands of drones this year and the possibility of significantly scaling up production next year,” Zelensky wrote on Telegram.
Innovations and Expansion of Production Capacities
The agreement also includes the development of cutting-edge technologies, particularly interceptors for destroying cruise and ballistic missiles, automatic turrets, and modern reconnaissance platforms. The President’s Office clarified that Swift Beat will expand its production capabilities, and modern drones will be supplied to Ukraine as a priority, under special conditions and at cost.
Swift Beat, LLC is an American company with a significant presence in Ukraine. It specializes in the production of autonomous drones with artificial intelligence elements, actively collaborates with Ukrainian engineers and military personnel, and conducts drone testing on Ukrainian territory.
Defense Minister Rustem Umerov previously stated that Ukraine is continuously increasing its production of its own drones and has already reached volumes of over four million units per year. At the same time, according to Volodymyr Zelensky, current funding from the state budget does not allow for the full utilization of all existing production capacities of domestic defense enterprises, although the potential for growth remains significant.
