Ukraine and the United States of America have taken an important step in their cooperation in the field of rare earth minerals development by signing a memorandum regarding the joint exploration of these strategic resources found in our country’s subsoil.

This event was announced by Ukraine’s First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy, Yulia Svyrydenko, on her social media page. She noted:
“Today we took a step towards a joint Economic Partnership Agreement with the USA. Ukraine and the United States of America have signed a memorandum that confirms the constructive joint work of our teams and our intention to finalize and conclude an agreement that will be beneficial to both our nations.”
Future Plans and Prospects for Cooperation
According to Svyrydenko, the next step will be the establishment of a Fund for Investment in the Reconstruction of Ukraine, which will open new opportunities for attracting foreign investments, modernizing infrastructure, and developing mutually beneficial partnerships between the two countries. Both sides are actively working on preparing the necessary documents to implement these plans.
The head of the Ministry of Economy emphasized the importance of reaffirming their intentions regarding investments in a free, sovereign, and secure Ukraine. She stressed that ahead lies the completion of the preparation process and the signing of the agreement, as well as its ratification by the parliaments of both countries.
