Farming Traditions and Masterclasses
During the celebration, visitors will have a unique opportunity to learn about ancient methods of harvesting and processing grain. Guests will be able to try their hand at reaping with sickles, threshing with flails, grinding grain on millstones, and baking bread in a traditional oven, just as generations of Ukrainians did in the past.
“Together we will touch the real — we will reap with sickles, thresh with flails, grind on millstones, and bake bread in the oven, just as our ancestors did,” promise the museum staff.
A Packed Program for the Whole Family
The festival features a packed program: masterclasses on bread baking, demonstrations of traditional crafts, a fair of folk artisans, performances by creative groups, and thematic lectures on bread rituals and customs.
To conclude the event, a concert by the popular band KOZAK SYSTEM will take place at the Singing Field of the museum, bringing festive cheer and Ukrainian music to the guests.
The Ukrainian Bread Festival in Pyrohiv is a unique opportunity to experience the atmosphere of a true folk celebration, learn more about farming traditions, and engage with Ukrainian culture.
