Ukrainian schoolchildren won 17 medals and two grand prizes at the prestigious Asian invention exhibition KIDE-2025, which took place in Taiwan.

Impressive Achievements of Young Scientists

This year’s KIDE exhibition traditionally gathered around 500 participants from over 30 countries worldwide. Ukraine was represented by 15 schoolchildren – members of the Small Academy of Sciences, who demonstrated significant scientific potential. According to the competition results, the Ukrainian team earned five gold, four silver, six bronze medals, and two special awards.

Winners’ Names and Their Projects

The highest awards were received by Kyiv residents Victoria Honcharenko and Sofia Honcharova, whose works were recognized by the jury for their innovation, accuracy of research conducted, and practical applicability in business. Victoria Honcharenko presented a project titled “Properties of Cobb’s Angle and the Inscribed Parabola and Their Application for Modeling the Scoliotic Curve of the Spine,” supervised by Ihor Savchenko.

Sofia Honcharova defended her work “Gammarus fossarum as a Test Object for Environmental Genotoxicity Research” under the guidance of Svitlana Kostenko.

In addition to them, among the prizewinners were also Kyiv schoolchildren Artem Telefus, Oleksandr Kurinnyi, Artem Sachko, Andrii Sydorchuk, Yelyzaveta Voitovych, and Rostyslav Sapsai. Their achievements are a testament to the high level of training of young scientists in Ukraine, who continue to represent the country with dignity at international competitions and exhibitions.
