Ukrzaliznytsia is increasing the number of services between Kyiv and Lviv to meet the heightened demand from passengers in September 2025.

Additional Trains and Schedule
Throughout September, an additional train No. 243/244 “Kyiv – Lviv” will operate in both directions. Departures are scheduled for September 14, 19, 20, 21, 26, and 27 from both cities. Additionally, on September 28, a train No. 289/290 “Kyiv – Lviv” is planned to depart from Kyiv and Lviv in both directions.
Features of the Cars and Ticket Purchase
For passenger convenience, compartment cars adapted for daytime travel in a seated format will be used on the route. When booking tickets, it is important to carefully check the seating layout: odd numbers correspond to window seats, while even numbers are by the aisle.

Tickets for the additional services are already available for purchase through the Ukrzaliznytsia mobile app, the official website booking.uz.gov.ua, and at railway station ticket offices across Ukraine. Passengers are advised to book tickets in advance, as demand for the Kyiv – Lviv route is traditionally high at the end of September.
