Зеленський пропонує продовжити воєнний стан до 6 серпня – депутати Ради

The Verkhovna Rada has decided to invite Energy Minister Herman Halushchenko to a parliamentary session to report on the preparations for the new heating season. This was announced by members of parliament, including Yaroslav Zheleznyak from the “Holos” faction and Oleksiy Honcharenko, a representative of “European Solidarity.”

Reasons for summoning the ministers to parliament

Yaroslav Zheleznyak clarified that the energy minister’s report will take place on June 19. The issues will concern the readiness of the Ukrainian energy system for the winter period and the measures the government is taking to ensure uninterrupted heating supply amid martial law and ongoing attacks by Russia on energy infrastructure.

In addition, the deputies have invited Defense Minister Rustem Umierov to the session of the Verkhovna Rada. His report will address the state of fortifications in Sumy, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, and Dnipropetrovsk regions, which are critical for the country’s defense. However, the date of the defense minister’s report has not yet been announced.

Context of the energy and fortification situation

In January of this year, representatives of the “Holos” faction reported on the registration of a resolution regarding the dismissal of Herman Halushchenko from the position of energy minister. The deputies emphasized issues of corruption in the energy sector, but the minister himself has not publicly commented on these accusations.

“Engineering and fortification structures at the front continue to be built, but the problem is not their availability, but the quality of such fortifications, which must keep pace with the times and be planned a step ahead, as the war does not stand still.”

In May, experts noted that the construction of fortifications at the front is ongoing, but the main challenge is not the quantity, but the quality of defense objects, which must meet modern requirements and take into account the dynamics of combat operations.
