Main Issues Reported by Parents

According to a statement from the head of the Svyatoshyn District State Administration, Georgiy Zantarai, parents have repeatedly expressed dissatisfaction with the institution’s operations. Parents point to the lack of a stable schedule, inadequate nutrition, insufficient systematic rehabilitation, as well as reports of unfair treatment towards staff and even intoxicated social transport couriers.

“Parents of children who attend the Comprehensive Rehabilitation Center for Persons with Disabilities in the Svyatoshyn district have repeatedly approached me with complaints about inadequate nutrition, chaos in schedules, and the absence of stable groups, negligence in the Center’s operations, unfair treatment of staff, lack of proper rehabilitation measures, and reports of intoxicated social transport couriers,” he wrote on his Facebook page.

Identified Violations and Further Actions

The inspection of the Center’s activities is being conducted by a special commission established in accordance with the directive of the management of social and veteran policy in the Svyatoshyn district. Preliminary results have already revealed serious deficiencies: lack of proper oversight for labor protection, formal documentation practices, significant violations in the area of nutrition, unsatisfactory conditions in the kitchen and refrigeration equipment, as well as insufficient control over the quality of meals. Furthermore, parents’ complaints indicate systemic issues with the organization of children’s schedules in groups and violations of workers’ rights.

The commission is currently continuing its work to provide final conclusions and determine what measures need to be taken to address the identified violations and improve conditions for both children and staff at the institution.
