The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, signed a decree dismissing Anatoliy Kutsyvol from the position of Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Latvia. The document with the relevant order was published on October 7.

Changes in Ukraine’s diplomatic representation in Latvia
The official presidential decree states:
“Dismiss Kutsyvol Anatoliy Anatoliyovych from the position of Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Latvia.”
The reasons for Kutsyvol’s dismissal are currently not disclosed. There is no information yet about the appointment of a new head of the Ukrainian diplomatic mission in Latvia.

Anatoliy Kutsyvol took up the position of Ukraine’s ambassador to Latvia in December 2022. During this period, he represented the interests of the state in the Baltic region, promoting the development of Ukrainian-Latvian relations at various levels.
