The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, announced upcoming personnel reshuffles in the security and diplomacy sectors following recent changes in the government. The head of state expressed gratitude to the members of parliament for their support of government appointments and urged the new officials to immediately begin fulfilling their assigned tasks.

“Tomorrow we will continue the reform of the security sector. On Monday, we will update the body of Ukrainian diplomacy – together with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, we are preparing the necessary changes.”
Cabinet of Ministers composition update
The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine supported the proposed changes in the government by the president. In particular, the parliament approved the appointment of Yulia Svyrydenko as the Prime Minister of Ukraine. Significant personnel reshuffles also took place in the ministries, including the appointment of former Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal as Minister of Defense.
Further strategic steps
The president also reported on the established agenda for the next two meetings of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine. These meetings are expected to serve as a platform for discussing and making important decisions regarding the security of the state and its foreign policy course in light of the new appointments.
