The artistic director and head of the Municipal Academic Chamber Choir “Kyiv” has been notified of suspicion regarding improper performance of official duties.
Details of the Land Lease Case
According to the capital’s police, the investigation centers around a contract signed by the choir’s director with an investor. It pertained to the lease of a land plot in the Pechersk district, which is used by this cultural institution.
For three years, due to deficiencies in the concluded contract, the “Kyiv” choir was forced to pay for the use of the land instead of the investor. This resulted in significant financial losses for the local community of the city.
Damages and Legal Qualification
As a result of these actions, investigators estimate that the local community of Kyiv suffered losses exceeding 1.8 million hryvnias.
