Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed that immediately after negotiations with U.S. President Donald Trump, he held a phone conversation with leading European leaders. According to the head of state, during the dialogue with partners, issues of security guarantees and the role of the U.S. in relevant processes were discussed, as well as the PURL program.

The phone conversation included the President of the European Commission, the leaders of Finland and Norway, the Prime Ministers of the United Kingdom, Italy, and Poland, as well as the NATO Secretary General. This format demonstrated broad support for Ukraine among leading European nations and allies in the Alliance.
Outcomes of the Meeting with Trump and the U.S. Position
The meeting between Volodymyr Zelensky and Donald Trump lasted over two hours. The Ukrainian President described it as “very productive,” noting that issues regarding long-range capabilities were also raised, but they decided not to make public statements about the details of these agreements. Regarding the transfer of “Tomahawk” missiles, Zelensky urged to seek clarifications from the American side.
“After the meeting with the president, we had a conversation with our partners – with the main leaders of the coalition… This is one of the topics of discussion – security guarantees. We are counting on U.S. leadership. We also talked about the PURL program,” he told reporters.
After the negotiations, Donald Trump stated on his social media that he informed both Zelensky and Putin about the need to cease hostilities and reach an agreement, emphasizing that “they must stop where they are.”
