The body of a drowning victim was found in the Desenka River in the Desnyanskyi district of Kyiv and has been handed over to the police for investigation into the circumstances of the death.

Circumstances of the tragedy in the Desnyanskyi district
On Monday, August 11, at 10:10 AM, rescuers received a report from the Service “102” about the discovery of a body in the water in the Desnyanskyi district of the capital. According to operational information, employees of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Kyiv were dispatched to the scene.
Upon arrival, the rescuers conducted a survey of the Desenka River’s waters. At a distance of 35 meters from the shore, at a depth of six meters, they discovered the body of a man. Unfortunately, it was not possible to save the individual as he was already showing no signs of life.
Further actions by law enforcement
“Using rescue equipment, the drowning victim was brought to the shore and handed over to the investigative operational group. The circumstances of this tragic incident will be established by law enforcement,” the State Emergency Service reported.
Currently, the police are investigating all the circumstances surrounding this tragedy. The identity of the man and the causes of his death are being determined. An investigative operational group is working at the scene to clarify the details of the incident.
