Exposure of Criminal Activity
The Desnyansky District Court of the capital found a local resident guilty of the illegal distribution of three kilograms of psychotropic substances in the Lisovyi Massif. He was sentenced to nine years and three months in prison.
The 43-year-old offender was apprehended by police operatives on one of the streets in the district. During the arrest, they seized a package containing one kilogram of the dangerous substance Alpha-PVP. During a subsequent search of his apartment, the police discovered over two more kilograms of Alpha-PVP, as well as amphetamine and 4-MMC.
Distribution Scheme and Court Decision
The investigation established that the man worked as a courier for an anonymous Telegram channel, through which the sale of prohibited substances was conducted. To deliver the “goods” to clients, he used a taxi service, ensuring the anonymity of his actions.
“It was revealed that this man had previously served a sentence but was released on parole without completing the full term of imprisonment. Considering that the offender committed a new serious crime, the court added the three months of unserved previous detention to his sentence.”
Thus, the drug courier ultimately received a total sentence of over nine years in prison for a repeat serious crime related to the large-scale distribution of drugs.
