Commemoration of Fallen Ukrainian Soldiers

On March 8, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that together with the Dutch Prime Minister, they honored the memory of the fallen defenders of Ukraine. The leaders of both countries walked along the Wall of Remembrance in Kyiv, paying tribute to the deceased Ukrainian servicemen and women.

“And as long as the aggression continues, we will continue to support the Ukrainian people.”

New Dutch Government’s Position on Supporting Ukraine

The further program of Rob Jetten’s stay in Ukraine is currently not disclosed. His government, which took office on February 23, declared full support for Ukraine in its published program. The 38-year-old Rob Jetten has become the youngest Prime Minister in the history of the Netherlands and the first openly gay person to hold this position.

In a recent conversation with AFP, Jetten emphasized that he currently sees no possibility of negotiations with the Russian Federation regarding the end of the war, as there are no signs of Moscow’s willingness to cease aggression. Since the full-scale invasion by the Russian Federation, the Netherlands has consistently supported Ukraine by providing ammunition, F-16 fighter jets, anti-aircraft systems, and organizing training for Ukrainian servicemen.
