Late in the evening on October 15, a fire broke out on Bilytska Street in the Podil district of the capital in a building that had been empty for a long time. Emergency units of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine arrived quickly at the scene and determined that the fire had started on the second floor and rapidly spread to the roof of the structure.
“On October 15 at 22:46, a report of a fire on Bilytska Street in the Podil district of the city was received by the emergency service ‘101’,” the statement said.
Actions of the Firefighters and Circumstances of the Incident
Thanks to the coordinated efforts of 18 firefighters and the involvement of four units of specialized and main firefighting equipment, the fire was quickly localized and extinguished over an area of about 200 square meters.
