During the search, the probable murder weapon, which the suspect attempted to dispose of, was found.

“As a result of the special operation, we located and seized the probable murder weapon that the perpetrator had discarded. After the crime, the suspect used disguises and left for Odesa the same day. He turned out to be a 41-year-old foreigner. We are currently considering several versions,” said Andrii Harastiuk, head of the Criminal Police of Kyiv.

At this time, the foreigner has been charged under part 2 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine—intentional murder committed by contract. This is punishable by up to fifteen years of imprisonment or life imprisonment.
