As of today, the heating season has begun in the capital for medical institutions, schools, kindergartens, and other social sector establishments. The connection to heating is carried out based on individual requests from the heads of the respective institutions, allowing for the real needs of each facility to be taken into account.
Features of connecting social institutions
The Kyiv City State Administration explained that this course of action is justified for socially oriented facilities. The decision to start the heating season in each organization is made by its management, considering the specifics of the activities and temperature conditions.
“Starting from Friday, October 3, the capital will begin the heating season for hospitals, schools, kindergartens, and other social sector institutions. The supply of heat to these establishments will be carried out based on their individual requests,” the statement said.
The KCSA emphasizes that all buildings belonging to the social sector are equipped with individual heating points. This allows for effective regulation of heat supply, optimization of energy resource use, and prompt response to weather changes.
When will heat be available in residential buildings
Regarding the start of the heating season in residential buildings in the capital, the city administration noted that before making a decision to connect apartment buildings to heating, several important factors will be considered. Among them are the need for rational use of energy resources, preventing unnecessary heating costs for residents, and the overall state of the city’s energy system.
Particular attention is paid not only to current but also to forecasted temperature indicators. This will allow the city to ensure cost savings for residents while rationally using energy resources. Therefore, social sector institutions will receive heat as a priority, while the issue of connecting residential buildings will be addressed separately, depending on weather conditions and the situation with energy resources.
