Virtual Journeys and Unique Exhibits
From September 26 to November 9, a unique exhibition created by the Agency for the Promotion of Ukrainian Culture, Ukraine WOW, will take place in the exhibition space at platform 14 of the Central Station. Visitors will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in a virtual world, strolling through a wheat field, observing a Cossack boat, the saber of Hetman Ivan Mazepa, a sword from the times of Kyivan Rus, and many other historical artifacts.
Interactive technologies will allow museum guests to take a virtual flight over Syvash and the Carpathians, find themselves in a pink train car, attend a rehearsal of a theatrical performance, and immerse themselves in the scenery of “The Witch of Konotop.”
Five Thematic Sections and Over 100 Exhibits
The exhibition consists of five thematic sections: “Earth,” “Rulers/Warriors,” “Thinkers,” “Artists,” and “Independence.” Among over 100 exhibits and dozens of interactive zones, visitors will see unique items such as Ivan Mazepa’s saber, a sword from the times of Kyivan Rus, a hetman’s mace, Cossack bowls, ancient prints mentioning Ukraine, copies of the golden Scythian pectoral, and the Peresopnytsia Gospel.
Particular attention is drawn to the Unity Train, where the historic act of unification between the West Ukrainian People’s Republic and the Ukrainian People’s Republic was signed. The exhibition also includes a replica of a 20-meter Cossack boat, Andriy Shevchenko’s “Golden Ball,” statuettes from “Eurovision” won by Ruslana, Jamala, and the Kalush Orchestra, as well as prestigious awards — the Pulitzer Prize and BAFTA for the film “Stone, Paper, Scissors” featuring Oleksandr Rudynskyi.
Among the modern exhibits is a dress by FROLOV for Sabrina Carpenter and a hat by Ruslan Baginskiy created for Madonna.
“A portion of the proceeds from ticket sales will be directed to support scientific and cultural institutions in Ukraine.”
Visiting this exhibition will not only provide greater insight into Ukraine’s cultural and historical heritage but also contribute to the development of the country’s scientific and artistic initiatives.
