The First Agreement Opens the Door to Investments

As reported by the head of the KCMA, Tymur Tkachenko, the signing of this memorandum will allow for the attraction of additional financial resources beyond the city budget. The partner organization will assist Kyiv in obtaining funding for the repair of shelters, particularly through cooperation with foreign donors.

“We are moving the issue of shelters from a standstill by attracting non-budgetary investments and the help of our friends and partners: the Kyiv City Military Administration has signed a memorandum with the charitable organization ‘Revival Source of Ukraine Foundation,'” wrote Tymur Tkachenko.

European Investments Are Expected

According to preliminary agreements, the capital will be able to accumulate up to two million euros, primarily provided by European business structures. These funds will be directed towards the renovation and repair of shelters, most of which are in unsatisfactory condition.

The head of the KCMA emphasized that there are over 4,000 shelters in Kyiv, of which 512 are bomb shelters. However, only a small portion of them meets modern safety requirements.

At the same time, the city authorities are calling on representatives of businesses and public organizations to join initiatives for co-financing projects for the repair of shelters in the capital. This will help ensure safer conditions for Kyiv residents during emergencies.
