The Kyiv City Military Administration has called for avoiding information manipulation regarding the holding of mass events in the capital.
This is reported by Kyiv24
The administration explained that the order concerning the approval of mass events in Kyiv pertains exclusively to cultural events, and not to all types of gatherings with a large number of participants. Therefore, there has been no ban on protests.
Details of the KVMAs Order
The head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Tymur Tkachенко, emphasized that there are false claims regarding an alleged ban on protests in the city. According to him, the directive only concerns the organization of cultural mass events and does not restrict other forms of public gatherings.
“My directive did not prohibit protests. It is exclusively about the approval of cultural mass events,” he emphasized.
Impact of the Directive on Regions of Ukraine
The head of the KVMА also noted that the relevant directive from the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine applies not only to Kyiv but extends to all regional military administrations. According to Tkachенко, some information resources have taken this information out of context for manipulation and disinformation of the public.
He stressed that spreading such rumors during mourning days in the capital is particularly cynical, as the city is experiencing the consequences of hostile attacks and the loss of citizens. During this period, Tkachенко stated, society must remain united and not succumb to external manipulations.
