Due to partial power outages on the streets of Kyiv, the number of foot and vehicle patrols has been increased to ensure the safety of the city’s residents.

Enhanced Security Measures After Russian Attack

The Kyiv police reported an expansion of patrols during the partial blackout that occurred after another night of Russian missile attacks. The presence of officers from district police departments, special forces, bomb disposal experts, dog handlers, and other services has increased on the streets of the city. Their main goal is to respond quickly to any incidents and assist residents of the capital in emergencies caused by power outages.

“Officers from district police departments, special forces, bomb disposal experts, dog handlers, and other services are involved to ensure the safety of citizens, respond promptly to calls, and assist residents in emergencies that may arise due to power outages,” the statement said.

How to Call the Police Without Connection

Law enforcement reminded that the special line “102” operates around the clock and accepts all calls. However, in case mobile communication is unavailable, Kyiv residents can contact the police via Wi-Fi using the mobile apps WhatsApp and Viber.
