Issues with Unfair Schedules and the Potential of GPS Trackers
The petition author specifically notes: “I personally faced the problem that the 211 minibus, which always departed last at 22:45, is already unavailable between 22:30 and 22:35, and it does not arrive for half an hour. We need to put an end to waiting in hope and uncertainty! Installing GPS trackers in minibuses for real-time movement tracking would significantly simplify life for city residents, allowing them to track minibuses through Easy Way and ‘Kyiv Digital’.”
Advantages of Using GPS for Analyzing Passenger Flow
The petition also highlights that data on minibus movement obtained via GPS can be used to analyze passenger flow and optimize the route system. According to the author, this will be an important step towards creating a modern and convenient public transport system in Kyiv.
