Law enforcement officers have detained a suspect in the theft from a child

In the Holosiivskyi district of Kyiv, patrol police quickly apprehended a man who robbed an 11-year-old boy. The incident occurred recently when the child approached the officers to report the crime.
Details of the Incident and Investigation Progress
According to law enforcement, the boy reported that an unknown man took his mobile phone and personal belongings. After receiving a description of the suspected perpetrator, the officers immediately set out to search the surrounding area. During their patrol, the police noticed a suspicious man attempting to flee. Following a swift response from the patrol, the fugitive was stopped and subjected to a search, during which the stolen items from the child were found in his possession.
“He reported that an unknown man stole his mobile phone and personal belongings. We learned how the suspected thief looked and set out to search. After examining the surrounding areas, the officers found a suspicious man who was trying to escape. The patrol quickly stopped the fugitive and, after conducting a search, discovered the stolen items in his possession,” the police reported.
Legal Qualification of the Crime
After the suspect’s arrest, he was handed over to investigators for further examination of all circumstances surrounding the incident. According to the patrol police, information has already been entered into the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations under part 4 of Article 185 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. This article provides for liability for theft committed under martial law conditions.
