The police in Kyiv have arrested a man suspected of stealing a collection of rare coins and a pistol model valued at over 330,000 hryvnias.

A 30-year-old resident of Kyiv, while visiting a numismatist friend, took advantage of the moment when the host stepped into another room. The suspect stole an album containing a collection of ancient coins, which included rare specimens from antiquity and the Middle Ages. A pistol model was also stolen.
“The total value of the stolen items exceeds 330,000 hryvnias. Additionally, the perpetrator also stole a pistol model.”
Arrest of the Suspect
Officers from the Podil District Police Department quickly identified the perpetrator and arrested him just a few hours after the crime was committed. A criminal investigation has been opened regarding the theft, and the investigation is ongoing.
