A nationwide technological sports tournament dedicated to FPV drone racing took place in Kyiv. The event was organized in honor of Major Rostyslav Parkhomenko of the GUR MO of Ukraine, who became a symbol of courage, professionalism, and technological breakthrough in modern warfare.

Honoring the Hero and Advancing Drone Technology
Major Rostyslav Parkhomenko was known as one of the first Ukrainian military personnel to begin using cutting-edge unmanned systems to target enemy equipment. At the beginning of the full-scale invasion by Russia, his special forces group operated in the Bucha and Irpin areas, destroying over forty units of valuable enemy combat equipment. Subsequently, Parkhomenko continued his service in the southern direction, where he continued to implement innovative approaches to combat operations. The hero died while carrying out a combat mission, remaining loyal to his oath and comrades.
“Rostyslav was at the forefront of unmanned systems because he understood that the strength of the Ukrainian army lies in technology, courage, and people. This tournament demonstrates the unity of war and sport, strength and intellect. It shows that Ukraine can create new products and is fighting,” recalled Major General Viktor Khoreko about Rostyslav.
Tournament Results: Winners Among Children and Military Personnel
Twenty young pilots from seven clubs and schools, as well as twenty military personnel, participated in the competition. The age of the junior participants ranged from nine to seventeen years, indicating the popularity and accessibility of FPV drones among the youth.
Among the children, the winner was Nazar Karmannikov (Free Sky Ukraine). The second place was taken by Mykhailo Bondarets (#ЩукаTEAM), and third place went to Kem Yunlyu (PROFPV School).
In the final among military personnel, the best result was shown by a pilot with the call sign Gadget, second place was taken by Jeff, and third place went to Chief.

The organizers emphasize the importance of such events in fostering respect for heroes and developing modern technologies among the younger generation.
