Experts conducted an investigation into the stain that appeared on the surface of Lake Syne, located in Vynohradar, Kyiv. According to them, this stain is of natural origin and poses no threat to residents or the environment.

Representatives of the KP «Pleso» reported that specialists collected water samples and treated them with a sorbent. Laboratory research results indicated that the concentration of petroleum products in the water is low, which is explained by the sedimentation of silt that occurs naturally during the water purification process.
Is There a Danger to the Environment?
It is noted that the content of petroleum products in the water was found to be 5 times lower than the permissible norm, and the level of toxicity is within safe parameters. This means that the water in Lake Syne is currently safe for residents and aquatic organisms.
