Law enforcement in Kyiv uncovered an official from the Ministry of Defense who organized a corruption scheme for draft exemptions in exchange for money.

Ministry of Defense Official Demanded $10,000 for Exemption
It has been established that an employee of the Mobilization Department of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine acted as an intermediary in the illegal scheme, offering draftees assistance in securing employment at a critically important enterprise. For his services, he demanded $10,000 from his “clients.” As a result of the exemption, the draftees could avoid mobilization, receiving protection from conscription.
Arrest and Investigation
Employees of the Main Directorate of the National Police of Kyiv documented the crime, arresting the official while he was receiving the agreed sum of money. He has already been informed of his suspicion of involvement in corrupt activities.
He acted as an intermediary in the corruption scheme; today law enforcement is identifying all other participants. This crime was documented by investigators from the Main Directorate of the National Police of Kyiv.
The court has chosen a preventive measure for the arrested individual in the form of detention. Investigative actions are currently ongoing, and law enforcement continues to identify other individuals who may be involved in this criminal scheme.
