A children’s football tournament called “Talantikos” was held in the capital of Ukraine, organized under the auspices of the Ukrainian Football Association (UAF).

Presentation of a unique postal release
During the tournament, representatives of the UAF, together with “Ukrposhta”, presented a new charitable postal block titled “The Next Golden Ball is Yours!” The ceremonial cancellation of the stamps was conducted by two holders of the prestigious football award – UAF President Andriy Shevchenko and Co-Chairman of the Professional Football Committee Ihor Belanov. The event was also attended by the General Director of “Ukrposhta”, Ihor Smilyansky.

The print run of the block is 53,000 copies, with 45 hryvnias from each sale directed towards the development of ‘Talantikos’ – festivals and football tournaments for children up to 13 years old.”
History and details of the release
The postal block consists of three stamps honoring outstanding Ukrainian footballers: Oleg Blokhin, Andriy Shevchenko, and Ihor Belanov. The print run totals 53,000 copies. The cost of each block is 45 hryvnias, which will be allocated to support children’s football tournaments “Talantikos” – events that promote the development of football among youth under 13 years old.
The collectible postal release can be purchased at the postal market, as well as in specialized shops for philatelists and at “Ukrposhta” branches.
The first Ukrainian to win the “Golden Ball” was forward Oleg Blokhin of Kyiv’s “Dynamo” in 1975. Eleven years later, another forward from Kyiv, Ihor Belanov, won the same award. In 2004, Andriy Shevchenko, who was playing for Italian “Milan” at the time, became the holder of the “Golden Ball”.
