Details of the Case Regarding the Judges’ Real Estate

The prosecutor, relying on materials from the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption and its own evidence, has submitted a lawsuit to declare the assets totaling 7,323,545 hryvnias as unjustified. These assets are under the control of the judges’ family in the capital.

Circumstances of Acquisition and Property Value

The lawsuit mentions a share of an apartment valued at over 6.1 million hryvnias, a parking space worth 622.2 thousand hryvnias, and a share of another parking space valued at 541.5 thousand hryvnias, located in an elite residential complex in Kyiv. Relatives of the judges acquired part of this real estate, but the spouses have the ability to perform actions equivalent to the right to dispose of this property.

Experts have established that the actual value of the share of the apartment and both parking spaces was significantly understated—the real price is twice as high as declared. An analysis of the judges’ and their relatives’ income and expenses confirmed that it was impossible to acquire this real estate through legal income.
