The residents of the Bortnychi neighborhood have appealed to the Kyiv city authorities, demanding the urgent restoration of convenient transportation links to the capital following the cancellation of bus route No. 474.
Petition to the Kyiv City Council: Main Demands
The Bortnychi community has initiated an electronic petition on the Kyiv City Council website, emphasizing the need to restore a convenient bus route to the “Kharkivska” metro station. This route was the only direct and comfortable way for many residents of the area to reach the metro.
“After the cancellation of bus route No. 474, local residents lost the ability to reach work, educational institutions, medical facilities, and more on time.”
Issues with Existing Routes
Currently, the only route serving Bortnychi is bus No. 104. However, the number of buses on this route is insufficient, and service starts too late. As a result, residents cannot leave for work before 7:00 AM. The situation is exacerbated by overcrowding during peak hours, creating dangerous conditions for passengers.
The residents of Bortnychi are urging the city authorities to promptly address the issue and ensure stable transportation connections with other districts of Kyiv.
