Victory of Life Amid Bombardments
The mother pheasant stayed in the nest for three weeks, not leaving her clutch even during explosions and shelling. Thanks to her endurance and dedication, the royal pheasant family has welcomed offspring, which are now under the watchful eye of their parents as they explore the intricacies of bird life.
“Despite constant Russian shelling, Ukrainian nature works wonders: the royal pheasant family has been enriched with fluffy chicks. For 24 days, the timid mother steadfastly incubated her clutch, undeterred by the roar of war. And now, the parents are lovingly teaching their little ones all the avian wisdom.”

Care and Support from Ornithologists
To ensure the necessary development and health of the chicks, the ornithologists at Kyiv Zoo have prepared a special vitamin feed based on natural components. This allows the young pheasants to receive all the essential nutrients for harmonious growth and immune strengthening.

Residents of Kyiv and visitors to the city can observe the lives of the newborn pheasants in the Fruit Garden of Kyiv Zoo. Staff encourage everyone to come and get to know this unique feathered family up close.
