New Home for Heat-Loving Animals

With the onset of October’s chill, the capybaras residing at Kyiv Zoo have moved from their summer enclosure to a warm winter habitat. All necessary conditions have been created here for the animals’ comfort: a pool, a spacious hayloft, paved and sandy walking paths, a play area with wood chips, various toys, and special chew items.

“With the arrival of autumn, our family of heat-loving capybaras returns to their cozy winter home! For family comfort, it features a pool, hayloft, paved and sandy walking areas, a play area with wood chips, various toys, and chew items,” notes the zoo administration.

Where to See Capybaras

The winter home of the capybaras is located between the Island of Animals and the elephant house. Visitors have the opportunity to observe the lives of these peaceful animals in comfortable conditions, allowing them to feel at home even during the cold season.
