In the Desnyanskyi district of Kyiv, emergency responders successfully evacuated residents from a high-rise building that experienced a large-scale fire.
Details of the Incident on Lisovyi Prospect
Information about the fire in the nine-story residential building was received by the emergency service at 3:48 PM. The fire broke out in an apartment located on the sixth floor and quickly spread throughout the premises.
“An apartment on the sixth floor of the residential nine-story building was on fire. During the firefighting efforts, a man in serious condition was found and handed over to paramedics. A total of 7 people were rescued, including 3 children. Ten individuals were led to safety from the upper floors,” reported the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Kyiv.
Rescue Operations and Cause of the Fire
Firefighters managed to bring ten residents from the upper floors to safety. Among those rescued were three children, and one man in serious condition was handed over to medical personnel for hospitalization. In total, seven people were rescued directly from the burning apartment.
The fire was extinguished at 4:47 PM, covering an area of 30 square meters. Law enforcement agencies are currently investigating the circumstances and possible causes of the fire.
