The US is Fully Aware of the Situation in Ukraine

During a press conference, in response to journalists’ questions about the American administration’s awareness, Rutte emphasized that he is in constant contact with the US President. According to him, discussing the situation in Ukraine is an integral part of these contacts, although he does not disclose the details of their conversations.

“I will be very brief. I never disclose the details of our conversations, but the American administration is fully aware of the horrific situation in Ukraine. As part of my regular contacts with the American President, we certainly exchange information about what is happening, what we see. This is part of our regular discussions,” said Rutte.

He stressed that the United States has a complete understanding of what is happening in Ukraine, and there are no doubts about this matter.

Massive Attacks on Ukraine’s Energy Sector Continue

Following a massive missile strike by Russia on the energy infrastructure on February 7, Ukrainian nuclear power plants remain in a reduced power mode. The Ministry of Energy continues to address the aftermath of two powerful attacks that occurred last week.

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the Russian Federation has systematically targeted Ukraine’s energy facilities. These attacks have become particularly intense since the beginning of the autumn of 2025.

The Security Service of Ukraine classifies these strikes as crimes against humanity. According to the SBU, at least 256 air attacks by the Russian Federation on energy facilities and heating systems in Ukraine have been recorded since the start of the 2025-2026 heating season.
