Scheme for Selling 40 Hectares of Green Land Exposed in Kyiv

З-під крила «Київзеленбуду» виводять 40 гектарів земель

The municipal enterprise Kyivzelenbud, responsible for green spaces and landscape design in the capital, has come under investigation due to a large-scale land scheme. According to new episodes of the YouTube project “In the Shade of the Chestnut”, there are plans to transfer 40 hectares of land, owned by the community, out of the management of Kyivzelenbud.

Large-Scale Land Transfer Scheme in Kyiv

According to investigators, this land plot is in communal ownership, but there are attempts to transfer it into private hands. Residents oppose such actions and have already collected over a hundred signatures demanding to halt the sale. The report discusses the situation in the village of Malyutynka, which is part of the Boyarsk United Territorial Community (UTC).

Activists note that the decision to sell this land was made without proper justification and with violations.

“One of the disgraceful and corrupt issues has been voted on: namely, the sale of nearly 40 hectares of communal land in the village of Malyutynka, with knowingly false data included in the decision, featuring two cadastral numbers and deliberately omitting the location of this land plot!”

— states activist Oleksandr Sysiuk in a message.

Documentation Violations and Government Response

The decision mentions two separate land plots that together cover an area of 40 hectares. However, the cadastral numbers indicated in the document do not correspond to any plots on the cadastral map. This raises grounds to believe that the numbers are either fake or falsified. Despite the obvious violations, representatives of Kyivzelenbud did not express any protest, did not challenge the decision, and did not make any official remarks.

Local residents and activists are calling for an open investigation and demanding to stop the illegal sale of land, which is crucial for preserving green spaces in Kyiv.
