Sergiy Kyslytsia Appointed First Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky signed a decree appointing Sergiy Kyslytsia as the First Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine. The official document No. 14/2026 has already been published on the president’s website.

Personnel Changes in the Leadership of the State

It has become known that the initiative for the new appointment of Sergiy Kyslytsia was previously announced by the head of state. On January 3, Zelensky held a working meeting with Kyslytsia, during which they discussed future diplomatic activities within the structure of the Office of the President. The main focus was on developing communication with international partners, expanding bilateral cooperation, and coordinating with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

Experience and Role of Sergiy Kyslytsia

Prior to his new appointment, Sergiy Kyslytsia served as the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, a position he held since February 2025. Before that, he was the Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the UN for five years, which provided him with significant experience in international negotiations and diplomacy.

According to President Zelensky, Kyslytsia will continue to participate in the negotiation process on behalf of Ukraine. Additionally, Sergiy Kyslytsia is a member of the negotiation group that addresses issues related to achieving peace for our state.

“It is precisely the provision of communication with partners at the highest level, the development of bilateral work, and synchronization with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs system.” According to Zelensky, Kyslytsia “will continue to work in the negotiation process.”

It was also announced today that, by a decision of the government, as reported by the representative of the Cabinet of Ministers in the Verkhovna Rada Taras Melnychuk, Sergiy Kyslytsia has been dismissed from the position of First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
